WHAT FILLS YOUR CUP

In our Women's Empowerment Circle this week we discussed the things that nourished you before you became a Raregiver. What did you love that got pushed aside when you began your life as a full-time Raregiver? Were there creative things you did like engaging with art, music, dance, knitting or other crafts? Maybe it was spending regular time in nature? Nature is good medicine for the body and soul. We talked about how you might integrate some of these things back into your life now and how this can create a more sustainable lifestyle.

Being your best self

For you to be the best version of yourself, you need to take care of yourself. You can start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can. Receive what you are doing. Take time to acknowledge yourself for what you are able to do. You are juggling a lot, and the idea is for you to create a sustainable life where you are included.

Time

What truly fills your cup? How do you want to spend your time? Is it time with friends or family? Notice if being alone and spending time on your own is more fulfilling than being with others. Be honest with yourself and give yourself what you need. You're worth it.

Coming Up Next Week: You Never Wanted to Become the Expert

Raregivers often spend a great deal of time researching their loved one’s disease  or condition, possible treatments and relevant clinical trials. As such, they become the “experts” in their loved one’s rare disease. Raregivers often find themselves educating health professionals about the rare disease or condition. Many Raregivers say they feel frustrated about having to become experts in their loved one’s rare disease. The more that raregivers learn about their loved one’s rare disease, the further they might feel from their “old normal” and the “normal” of other people’s family lives. Please join us to share your feelings and experience. We are here to listen.

Please Join Us for the Women's Empowerment Circle every Tuesday at 10am PST

You may not realize how much you need the Raregivers community until you find it.
